Lookingto get more involved in local advocacy? This event is the perfect way to get a clear picture of who's doing what in our community. We'll start with a brief presentation on "What is Dallas Urbanists STLC," then hear from a varietty of local groups making a big difference toward a more walkable, affordable, and vibrant city, including:

WHAT IS DALLAS URBANISTS STLC? We are people who care about making Dallas a more walkable, bike-friendly, transit-oriented, affordable, and vibrant place to live. As a Strong Towns Local Conversation (STLC), we are part of the Strong Towns movement to replace America’s postwar pattern of development, the "Suburban Experiment," with a pattern of development that is financially strong and resilient. We advocate for neighborhoods of all sizes in Dallas to be safe, livable and inviting.

TECHNO TRAIN to AKARD STATION — Dallas Area Transit Alliance
Note: Times are estimated based on the average travel time, the train will only stop at Parker Road, CityLine/Bush, LBJ/Central, Akard, and Victory.
We are riding the Techno Train from Parker Road Station to Akard for the Dallas Urbanists Mixer! Note, this train continues all the way to Victory Station but we will be getting off at Akard, you are welcome to stay on to Victory and then walk or take a train back to Akard Station.

Join us for a peaceful, come-and-go public assembly outside Plano City Hall. We’ll be gathering 4:30–6:45 PM—stop by anytime to say hi, grab info, and connect with neighbors. At 6:45 PM, we’ll head inside together, and City Council begins at 7:00 PM.

The ride always starts at 8pm at the Dallas Farmer's Market, but the ride leader and ending location changes each month. Check the Facebook group for details. Bring white front lights and rear red lights, a helmet, and water. A bike lock and other bike tools are encouraged, but not required.
